Patagonia Hairy Vetch (Inoculated & Coated)

Hairy vetch  is a cold-hardy plant that produces high forage volume and maintains green long after it's cereal companions are ripened. It is a great addition to chopped silage or silage bales. It also has great nitrogen fixation and can be used as a green manure plowdown. It is a powerful insect attractant and honey bees love it.

(The seed can be toxic to cows and some studies have shown that pasture grazing can also be potentially toxic. We recommend using only for silage as that has been proven here in the Peace Country by multiple ranchers over many years and there are no reports of issues with it in Silage Blends)
